This Week on the Island 01/27/2019

‘This Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.
The Weather: Most of the old houses in ‘Old Town” Key West don’t have heat. They were even built without chimneys. When it gets cold outside, it gets cold inside the house. I’m a little tired of being cold, but if it is this cold down here, you guys must be freezing.
We went down to the corner of Thomas and Petronia

 to Blue Heaven for Breakfast.

It is across the street from this building with the painting on the side.

We went into the entrance on Petronia street

Past the showers,

And to our table. We had a band playing while we ate.

Teeki and I went down to the new Truman Waterfront Park to the old sub pens.

I took the Teeki Kart to the lumber store to buy some wood to raise the top of my fence up about a foot. Teeki jumps the 3-foot fence to go visit the empty house next door.

Saturday, Teeki and I went back to the Truman Waterfront Park. Whatever this is was in bloom.
