This Week on the Island 01/15/2017

‘This Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.
Weather:  Got some rain this week even if we are in the Dry Season. Beautiful most of the week but a little cooler than normal. Should be back in the upper 70’s next week. Teeki liked it cool and didn’t want to come into the house.
Lots going on this week end but not much all week.
The week started with The Wounded Warrior Ride
Teeki and I spent some time riding around town in the Teeki – Kart.
We went to Willie T’s to listen to Dallas play some 70’s music.
On our way to Fort Zack we saw that one of Walt Disney’s boats was in town.
Teeki enjoyed playing on the rock at Fort Zack.
Friday 13th was this week.
Big news for South Florida and Cuba. Obama repealed ‘Wet Foot, Dry Foot.

This week end we have the Half Shell Half Marathon Sunday morning. Our friend Marcus ran a few years ago.

With Howard Livingston playing a free concert afterwards. Pic from  last year.

And we had Key West Seafood Festival at Bayview Park Saturday.
We leave you with another picture of our little pineapple at the front walk.
I almost missed mentioning that, The Westin at the Key West Harbor is now a Margaritaville Property.

Key West you have got to love it
