Weather:
Wonderful. Lots of sun, blue skies and white clouds. In the low 80’s in the day
and the low 70’s at night.
The book
this week was ‘Severe Clear’ by Stuart Woods.
This
week we continued the celebration of The Great Conch Republic.
We
started the week with the Conch Cruiser Car show at Schooner Wharf.
Wednesday
was April 23rd and the 32 anniversary of the Conch Republic Seceding
from the Union. Our motto is ‘We Seceded Where Others Failed’.
Thursday
was ‘The Great Conch Republic Parade’. The longest parade in the world, from
the Atlantic to the Gulf of Mexico down Duval Street.
Friday
was the ‘Great Sea Battle’
Saturday
was ‘The Great Conch Republic Bed Race’ on Duval Street.
All
overlooked by Key West Finest
Did I
forget the street fair on Green Street by Captain Tony’s?
Have I
ever mentioned that I love living here?
