This Week on the Island 02.26.2023

‘This Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.

 The Weather: Another beautiful Week.

Who was the first President of the United States of America?

I'm sure that George Washington was your best guess. After all, no one else comes to mind.

But think back to your history books - The United States Declared its independence in 1776, yet Washington did not take office until April 30, 1789. So, who was running the country during these initial years of this young country? It was the first eight U. S Presidents. Look it up. This is John Hanson.

A few days ago, I decided that I needed a Key Lime Pie. So, I got the stuff together and made a pie. There is nothing left.

Dogs love Key West.

We leave you with ‘Easy like Sunday morning’.
