This week on the Island' is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.

Weather: Another beautiful week. Hot and humid with lots of sun and some rain.

No book this week

--We call ourselves ‘Key Weird’ so here is some of our ‘weird’--

We have a Historical Society that we make fun of by calling them the ‘

Hysterical Society’.

Most folks know about our sign in the cemetery ‘I told you I was Sick’.

Then there is the sign about nothing happening in 1897

Across from 5 Brothers grocery is this woman made of many parts.

In the Green Parrot is this sign. What is a ‘Sniveling?’

Of course we have our local legends that show up from time to time.

Next week we will have a few motorcycles in town.
