This Week on the Island 08/04/2019

‘This Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.
The Weather:  A tropical depression didn’t develop into a hurricane but it brought lots of rain to the island.
The book this week was:
We had a Farmers Market down on the Truman Waterfront on Thursday. There were over 24 booths, but only one had any farmer stuff.
The USS Billings has been in the Sub Pen for a few days. It was here for an official commissioning on Saturday. She is on the inside of the outer mole while the Carnival ship is on the outside of the outer mole.
We leave you this week with a picture of the road to my house. This is the old (on the right) and new (on the left) 7-mile bridge at sunset.
