This Week on the Island 01/06/2019

‘This Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.
The Weather: Same as last week, Beautiful. In the low 80’s in the day with blue skies and white clouds and very low humidity.
The island is still packed. There are people everywhere. But next week they will be gone and we will still be here.
Year end, it all started with the conch shell drop at Sloppy Joe’s.

Then the giant slipper drop at the Bourbon Street complex.

Then we got the pirate wench drop at Schooner Wharf Bar.

Then came the lime drop into the margarita at Sunset Pier.

And now the Stewardess drop at the home of Pan Am airlines on the corner of Caroline and Whitehead, The tuna drop at Smoking Tuna and the champagne drop at La Te Da.
No pictures.
We leave you this week with Shelby, Teeki and Aspen at the dog park.
