‘This Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.

The Weather: Same as the last Nine weeks. Hot and humid until November with a chance of a hurricane.

This week’s book was ‘A Far Road to Key West’ by Michael Reisig.

This week was ‘Mini Lobster Season. This is 2 days before the season starts, where people can get 6 lobsters per person per day. It is crazy out on the water.

Some friends from Iowa were in town and brought us some Iowa corn and a book for me to read next week.

We now have two ‘Fat Alberts’.

The city is trying to get Buffett to perform at the new venue being built at Truman Waterfront.

Took another road trip Friday up to The VA in Miami. This time to revisit the ankle Doctor after the ‘stem cell injections’. We will continue to hope and wait.
