This Week on the Island 01/11/2015
‘This
Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends
about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those
parts that are lies.
Weather:
It got a little cool Wednesday night and Thursday with the high not reaching 70
degrees. Beautiful by the weekend.
This
week I read ‘Beyond Paradise’. More new fiction from the Florida Keys.
We live
on an island, so there are lots of boats here. I really like the old Schooners. These are
docked next to Schooner Wharf.
Some
people like the new large yachts.
And
still some people like the even larger cruise ships.
Like I
said, we live on an island, so we have them all.
There is
a lot of maintenance to living here, like cutting the grass in January.
Or
repairing the concrete in the windows at The Bull on Duval.
Or
blowing the leaves away from the park next to the library on Fleming St.
But we
love living on this little island
And enjoying
its sunsets. (Pic from Howard Livingston's Facebook Page.)
Key West
you have got to love it
