‘This Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.

The Weather: You have got to love Spring after putting up with those cold days of winter.

My Facebook page got cloned this week. I changed my background pic so I didn’t confuse the two. I also took care of other needed repairs.

The wind this week has been a bit strong. The waves at the Southernmost Point were getting the tourist wet.

This week we celebrate the 200^th year of Key West.

Speaking of old. The Western Union in dry dock.

The 7-mile bridge run will be April 2.

I can't find anything on The Cow Key Channel Zero-K run for 2022.

Conch Republic Days are in April.
