This Week on the Island 03/13/2022
‘This Week on
the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about
happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts
that are lies.
A little Key West history. There once was a man that delivered fresh milk to your house, here in Key West. His wagon was pulled by donkeys (donkeys can stand the heat much better than horses). He lived in this house on the 600 block of Eaton Street and had an entrance for his donkeys that was on the 300 block of Elizabeth Street. Thus 'The donkey milk house' and 'Donkey milk lane'.
On the street in Key West.
When is the last time you saw The Green Flash?
