This Week on the Island 12/20/2020

‘This Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.

The Weather:  Another cold front followed by weather in the high 70’s.

Remember last summer when we were having all those storms. You people were saying, ‘Why would anybody live down there?’

Now you are having the storms and we are saying, ‘Why would anyone live up there?’.

This is ‘Fred the Tree’. He lives on the old 7-mile bridge.

This is from The Key West Citizen this week.

Now for more normal things. I cut down another banana tree and hung the bananas on the front porch to get ripe. The tourist make lots of comments.

Some fishermen at the Truman Water Front caught a pelican. This is the pelican making his escape after the fishermen untangled it from their line. I thanked them.

Teeki meeting Shogun, the new dog in the neighborhood.

Of course, Teeki is on our after-lunch ride at Captain Tony’s getting her treat.

Sunrise over the bight Tuesday morning during our morning walk.

We leave you with Easy like Sunday morning.

Close to Perfect, Far from Normal’
