This Week on the Island 09/29/2019

‘This Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.
The Weather: Lots of rain this week. This is the intersection of Green and Elizabeth Street next to the Conch Republic Seafood Bar/Restaurant.
The book this week.
We (Teeki and I) have put 500 miles on the Teeki Kart. That is a lot of miles on a  2-mile by 4-mile island.
We went down to Fort Zachery Taylor (Ft. Zack). This first picture is Ft. Zack when it was surrounded by water.
This picture is the inside of Ft. Zack.
This picture is the bridge from land when Ft. Zack was surrounded by water.
This is Ft. Zack now. When they dug out the ships channel, they put some of the dirt around Ft. Zack and made the park.
We leave you this week with a rainbow over Caroline Street.
