This Week on the Island 03/05/2017

‘This Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.
The Weather: Beautiful. Every year the weather gets really nice after summer goes and takes the humidity with it. I am always amazed at how long it stays 'wonderful'.
The book this week was ‘Risky Situation’ by Elizabeth Hilleren. This is her 6th book I have read.

Easter is a moveable feast and is celebrated on the first Sunday after the first spring full moon. Easter this year is toward the end of April. So we will have about 8 weeks of Spring Breakers this year. The Canadians are already here.  More next week.
Lots of flowers in bloom. These are the ones around the house. The Hibiscus on the right at the front door.
Bougainvillie on the right at the front door
Pineapple on the right at the front door
Yellow rose from Texas on the left at the front door
Orchid out the door on the left side of the house
Orchid in the back yard
Corn plant in the back yard. The blooms burst open and it smells sooooo good.
And the Desert Rose
This week ended with ‘The Open Air Art Fair’ on Lazy Way Lane.
Key West you have got to love it
