This Week on the Island 09/26/2021

‘This Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.

The Weather:  Still Hot and Humid.

Plus, we have ‘Sam I am’ coming to visit soon.

These things are called Torque washers. They fit on the wheel of the electric bike/trike and keep the axel from turning backwards when the motorized wheel makes the bike/trike move forward. (For every action there is an opposite and equal reaction).

This is my front motorized wheel on my trike. The washer broke, the axel turned backwards and pulled the electric cable out of the motor in the front wheel. Four months later the new wheel arrived ($650). It has been installed and the trike is running again. We have two trikes and Teeki and I have been using Jo’s trike for the last 4 months.

Cross your arms. Which arm is to the front?  Now cross your arms with the other arm to the front. Feels weird. Ask a family member to cross their arms. Usually is the same as yours.

Took a ride down to Bahama Village to get my Pfizer Booster Shot on Saturday.

Great pic of this place called earth.

We leave you with ‘Easy like Sunday morning’, this pic from Summerland Key  from Kim Soule.
