This Week on the Island 07/29/2018

‘This Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.
The Weather: It is July, we are in the middle of the rainy season, it is hot and humidity. Well, it is summer in the Keys.
This week we had a few days for Mini-Lobster Season. Lot of tourist diving for the lobster.
Most don’t bother to read the rules and we have some arrest and lots of warnings.
We call our lobster, ‘bugs’. They do not have claws. This is a big one.
Also had a friend and her husband come to town. We worked together at SCN (South Carolina National Bank) many years ago. We had lunch at Conch Republic Seafood.
Of course, no week is complete without Michael McCloud and Schooner Wharf Bar.
And the dog park. Naomi sharing water with 4 dogs.
We leave you with another Key West sunset.
