This Week on the Island 01/26/2020

‘This Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.
The Weather:  The coldest weather of this winter came thru the first of the week, but it is back in the 70’s by the week end.
I finished the book that I started last week.
I read another book.
And have started another book.
Jimmy Buffett was at Shrimp Boat Sounds, his recording studio on Lazy Way Lane. He is working on a new recording. He also did a free concert at Margaritaville.
A ship transporting jet fuel for the Navy was coming in the ships channel. Teeki and I were at the Truman Waterfront when it went by.
A ship sailing by Ft. Zack State Park.
Shelby, one of Teeki’s friends riding by.
Jo’s orchids are starting to bloom.
The hibiscus blooms all year here.
So does the bougainvillea.
