This Week on the Island 12/25/2011

'This week on the Island' is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.
The pictures this week, (click to enlarge) are ‘Christmas Tree at the bight near Buffett’s Recording Studio’,’ Me enjoying a white Christmas on the beach leaning against a coconut tree’ and ‘Me on the beach’.

Weather. Wonderful. I am sitting on the porch at 5:00 PM on Christmas Eve and it is 79 degrees. I have 2 beautiful flowers on the hibiscus and the green bougainvillea is covered in red.

This Weeks book was ‘If a Pirate I Must Be’ the story of Black Bart (Bartholomew Roberts) by Richard Sanders. This was sort of a history lesson.

I hope you are having a wonderful Christmas.

Lots of folks in town this week trying to get away from the cold in the north. Everyone wants to live here.
